In this Big Bang Theory spin-off, Young Sheldon follows Sheldon Cooper, but at the age of 9, living with his family in East Texas and going to high school. Yes, at the age of 9. We get a peek into the early years–with voiceover from Jim Parsons–of a genius who is misunderstood by his family, classmates and neighbors.

Jon Favreau is directing and executive producing the first episode.

Young Sheldon stars Iain Armitage as Sheldon, Perry as his mother, Mary Cooper, Lance Barber as his father, George Cooper, Raegan Revord as Missy Cooper, Sheldon’s twin sister, and Montana Jordan as George Cooper, his older brother. Jim Parsons will narrate the series. The series will premiere this Fall on CBS.
