About the NBC show Taken
NBC’s new show “Taken” follows young Bryan Mills as he fights to overcome tragedy and exact revenge as a deadly CIA operative.
From Executive Producer Luc Besson comes a thrilling new addition to his iconic blockbuster action-film franchise. This new, modern-day, edge-of-your-seat thriller follows the origin story of younger, hungrier, former Green Beret Bryan Mills (Clive Standen) as he deals with a personal tragedy that shakes his world. As he fights to overcome the incident and exact revenge, Mills is pulled into a career as a deadly CIA operative, a job that awakens his very
particular, and very dangerous, set of skills.
Those are the same set of skills used in the Taken films, a trilogy of movies starring Liam Neeson. The films, Taken, Taken 2 and Taken 3, all did well at the box office, with the first film receiving the best reviews and North American box office. The second and third films each successively received worse reviews and North American box office receipts, but fared much better overseas.
“Taken”, the new prequel TV series, airs on Mondays at 10/9c on NBC.
