“We Should Be Friends” is on Miranda Lambert’s new album, The Weight of These Wings. See the fun video below. We especially like the Miller Lite beer can hair rollers!
It’s good to hear Miranda Lambert smiling again. This playful country cut is a joy to listen to, as if Miranda just wants to have a good time. She might just be looking for a new friend too!
Like so much of what’s found on the Weight of These Wings, the arrangement on this new song is sparse, but effective. And “We Should Be Friends” was completely written by Miranda herself. A thick bass groove drives the song before the rest of the band puts down their beers and comes in with seemingly improvised licks and riffs. There’s incredible looseness across this new song, one of very few moments of levity on Lambert’s new double disc album.
