See Adam Levine in the new Maroon 5 – Cold video ft. Future

On the heels of their top 10 collaboration “Don’t Wanna Know” with Kendrick Lamar, Maroon 5 teams up with Future for their latest single, “Cold.” The icy collaboration is about love gone wrong, featuring Adam Levine’s harmonies. “Cold enough to chill my bones,” he sings. “It feels like I don’t know you anymore / I don’t understand why you’re so cold to me.”

It also features lyrics that could be interpreted as a dig at his ex-fiancée Ciara. “Never thought that you were like this,” he sings. “I took the tag off and made you priceless / I just spent half a mill on a chandelier / Now you tryin’ to cut me off like a light switch.”

Maroon 5 Cold

M5 has yet to reveal plans for their next album, which is expected to include “Don’t Wanna Know” and “Cold.” Their last LP was 2014’s V, which featured Gwen Stefani.

Below is Maroon 5’s music video for their new Future collaboration “Cold.” It stars Levine, his wife Behati Prinsloo, and Future. In it, Levine goes out for milk before things go off the rails: “It was weird. Somebody slipped something into my drink. I think it was acid because I started tripping balls. Future turned into a teddy bear and James was getting blown by a chicken. It was crazy,” he remarks at the end. Watch the “Cold” video below:
