PlayStation 4 Pro was recently launched. It offers superior graphics compared to its predecessor, PlayStation 4. One of the games that will be able to take advantage of this is Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
As per Tech Times, the way the game runs on its native resolution of 4K is amazing. The magnificent visuals just add to the fast paced gameplay. Digital Foundry tested Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare in 4K and uploaded a new video showing it. VG Times also posted a Call of Duty Infinite Warfare PS4 Frame Rate Test – see below:
The previous tests of the game had shown that some snags were still there especially in the single player mode. The multi-player mode was slightly better. But during some moments of action, there were still frame drops.
Now that the game has finally released for PS4, these issues seem to have been dealt with. The multi-player performance has improved and the campaign mode is also doing well. Before, in order to raise the resolution to 1080p, PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game used a horizontal upscaler. Now, the PS4 Pro uses a different resolution to bump it up to 1080p. PS4 Pro utilizes a different resolution and goes up to 4K, i.e. 2160p. The dynamic resolution scaling lessens rendering load in the heavy areas of the game. Plus, it also maintains a steady frame rate. The frame rate was tested and it was quite consistent even during loaded environments.

For many Call of Duty fans, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is seen as very different from the main series, despite the fact that it has retained the core mechanics and elements. Outsiders may not find much of a difference. However, the changes have made the game more complex and with more to offer.
PS4 Pro is now available for $399.
